Dr. LaFrance grew up in Orillia. After attending the University of Guelph he graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1984. He entered the Clinical Sciences Residency and graduated with a Fellowship in Clinical Sciences in 1986. This included teaching, research, and a variety of clinical experiences in many hospitals and multi-disciplinary environments. He returned to Orillia in 1989 to practice.
With this background, he has many special interests including:
  • Neck and Back pain,
  • Musculoskeletal injuries,
  • Headaches,
  • TMJ disorders
  • Extremity injuries, and
  • Sport-related injuries.
Dr. Lawrence uses a number of treatment tools in addition to Chiropractic adjustments to speed recovery. He commonly incorporates laser, ultrasound, interferential current (IFC), Graston, Active Release, and exercise in his treatment plans.
Dr. Lawrence strongly believes in community involvement. He has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Orillia since 1990 and has served as president, secretary, and director. He is also a member of the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club. He has coached basketball for over 20 years with the Orillia Lakers as well as local high school and AAU teams. He served many years as the team Chiropractor to the Orillia Terriers Junior A Hockey team and the Orillia Kings Junior A Lacrosse team. His love of skiing led him to work with Ski professionals at Mt. Tremblant, Blue Mountain, and Mt. St. Louis.
When Dr. Lawrence is not at work, you will see him skiing and playing hockey in the winter and cycling, golfing, and waterskiing in the summer.
