Frequently Asked Questions About Paediatric Physiotherapy

Reach out if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

Play has a central role in a child’s development and inhibition of play in childhood has severe pathological implications. Play fosters intrinsic motivation that will result in continued successful life habits. Play-based therapy keeps things fun and interesting for your child while promoting cognitive, motor and sensory development.

If you have questions or concerns about your child’s development or movement patterns, we recommend booking an initial assessment with our physiotherapist. This assessment will help determine if there is a need for therapy. Still unsure? We are pleased to offer a complimentary phone consultation to discuss further.

The private physiotherapy services provided by Miller Health Kids are not covered through OHIP. We do offer direct billing of extended health benefits.

The initial assessment is 1 hour in length. The length of time for follow up appointments may vary depending on your child’s case and will be determined by your physiotherapist.
