Joey Timpano

DPT

Registered Physiotherapist

Born and raised in Orillia, Joey is excited to be returning home from Australia to provide care where his journey began. Growing up playing a variety of sports at varying levels evolved into a passion for a better understanding of the human body, its capabilities, and how it recovers.

This passion started at the University of Guelph where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Kinetics with Honours in 2014. He then moved to the other side of the world to study the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia where he graduated with high distinction in 2020, and received first in class for his research. During his studies he was also granted an internship at Stanford University working with varying sports teams within their program. Joey has spent the past two years honing his skills working in Australia, utilizing exercise rehabilitation to help gain improved outcomes, while becoming certified in acupuncture and kinetic link training. Areas of interest include:

  • Lower limb injuries
  • Sports rehabilitation
  • Return to work rehabilitation
  • Pain education

When not at work, Joey enjoys playing sports (hockey, soccer, volleyball, basketball, surfing), traveling, and going to the gym.
