Andrew Parks, DC
Originally from Orillia, Andrew is excited to be back home and to have the opportunity to give back and contribute to the community. Andrew has always been active in the local hockey community where he played minor hockey for years, and eventually progressed to the Junior A level. This ultimately led him south of the border, where he played 3 years of NCAA Division III hockey for Brockport University in New York State, while also studying Biological Sciences. During that time, Andrew was named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Academic Team 3 years in a row, while also being in a leadership role for his team.
After Brockport, Andrew went on to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020.
Andrew’s primary interests include concussions, neurology and sports injury rehab and performance. He currently splits time between Orillia and Toronto as he is enrolled in a 2-year post-doctoral residency program to become a Sports Specialist Chiropractor. In addition to this, he is currently studying to become a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board, which has been instrumental in helping him develop novel approaches to sport performance and concussion rehabilitation.
*Due to the unprecedented times of COVID-19, the national chiropractic licensing examinations (part 3 of 3) scheduled for May 2020 have been moved to October 2020. Andrew is now accepting patients, however we want all patients to recognize that Andrew’s license is “provisional” until October 2020. If you have any questions regarding this matter, Andrew would be happy to discuss them with you.
